NORA tea is a powerful, time-tested beneficial tea for pregnant women. NORA stands for the four principal herbal ingredients: nettle, oat straw, red raspberry leaf, and alfalfa. NORA tea has many potential benefits, including the ability to prevent many possible complaints during pregnancy, increase mineral absorption, increase liver health, reduce the possibility of anemia, strengthen the immune system, promote proper contractibility of the uterus (promoting the proper release of the placenta), and promote tissue health (helping prevent tears and hemorrhages). NORA tea also provides ample amounts of vital vitamin C, iron, and many other nutrients.***
Suggested Use:
Midwives recommend that pregnant women begin drinking NORA tea after the 16th week of pregnancy. They recommend trying to drink a quart daily and making a daily habit of preparing the tea. If difficult to drink every day, they recommend drinking it a minimum of four times a week, or half a quart daily, to maintain nutritive and preventative benefits. It may also be beneficial to take during postpartum to help replenish blood stores that may be lost during delivery and help nurture the body during recovery. We recommend taking this tea in accordance with the council of qualified midwives. As always, make sure to counsel your physician before beginning this or any herbal regimen.***
To prepare:
To prepare an infusion, take four tablespoons of the mix and place it in a quart jar, cover it with boiling water, and steep for a minimum of thirty minutes and a maximum of two hours. Strain, sweeten as needed, and drink one to four cups daily. This tea is also beneficial for the postpartum period as it can help with milk production.***
